*BIBLE READING: 1 TIMOTHY 2:1-2 (KJV)*

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

*PRAYERS:*

1. Thank you, Lord, for all the leaders you have given us in our nation, state, church, workplace, and across all other spheres of life. Thank You for keeping and preserving them.

2. Father, please give our leaders divine wisdom and guidance to make the best decisions that align with Your will at all times.

3. Father, please give our leaders the heart to serve. Let them lead with humility and compassion.

4. Father, please help our leaders lead with integrity and good character. Help them to shun corrupt practices, in Jesus' name.

5. Father, please give our leaders the mental strength to navigate the challenges and pressures that come with leadership, in Jesus' name.

6. Father, please take care of the families and personal needs of our leaders. Don't let the devil distract them from providing good leadership because of personal problems, in Jesus' name.

7. Father, please protect our leaders from evil forces. Don't let the devil's plans come to pass concerning them, in Jesus' name.

8. Father, You are the only true source of help; please send help speedily to our leaders so they can fulfil Your purpose for their lives.

9. Father, please surround our leaders with good advisers and resourceful people. Let selfish and manipulative people remain far away from them, in Jesus' name.

10. Father, I pray for wisdom for our leaders. Help them create policies that align with Your will, in Jesus' name.

11. Father, please let Your Spirit of excellence rest upon our leaders. Help them to find creative ways to solve our common challenges and make things better for everyone.

12. Your personal prayer points for your leaders.

*BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: EZEKIEL 36-38*

*HYMNAL: 22 - SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER! SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER!*

1 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

that calls me from a world of care,

and bids me at my Father's throne

make all my wants and wishes known.

In seasons of distress and grief,

my soul has often found relief,

and oft escaped the tempter's snare

by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

2 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

the joys I feel, the bliss I share

of those whose anxious spirits burn

with strong desires for thy return!

With such I hasten to the place

where God my Savior shows his face,

and gladly take my station there,

and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

3 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!

thy wings shall my petition bear

to him whose truth and faithfulness

engage the waiting soul to bless.

And since he bids me seek his face,

believe his word, and trust his grace,

I'll cast on him my every care,

and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Commentary

Leaders occupy vital positions in nations, organizations, and the Church. When leaders are guided by wisdom and integrity, the people under them experience peace and prosperity. However, ungodly leadership often brings hardship, confusion, and suffering. This is why Paul, in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, commands us to intercede for all in authority. As Christians, our responsibility is not to complain or criticize but to pray that God will grant leaders wisdom, humility, and a servant’s heart. By doing this, we invite divine intervention into governance, workplace administration, and spiritual leadership. Every believer is a watchman, and prayer is our strongest weapon to influence leadership positively.

🔹 Salvation Message

Beloved, the greatest leader you need in your life is Jesus Christ. No matter how much we pray for earthly leaders, true transformation begins when an individual allows Christ to reign in their heart. If you have not yet surrendered to Him, today is your day of salvation.

🙏 Say this prayer sincerely:

“Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe You died for me and rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Wash me clean with Your blood and write my name in the Book of Life. Amen.”

If you prayed this prayer, congratulations! You are now born again. Please locate a Bible-believing church (preferably an RCCG parish near you) to grow in your walk with Christ.
