BIBLE READING: Malachi 3:7-12

7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.Christian apparel

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

MESSAGE:

Nowadays, many preachers on social media platforms tell people that paying tithe is an Old Testament doctrine. Some of them say that people should only give the prophet’s offering by taking money to their pastors directly. I do not know the Bible they read, but my Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16 that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God.Christian apparel

Tithing is a principle instructed by God, and it can bring unprecedented blessings. It is a test of your obedience to God’s word, checking if you will trust Him with your finances. As a student who receives allowances, you can give ten percent of it as tithe in your place of worship. Likewise, if you make extra money from services you render through your skills or gifts given to you by people, give God a tithe of it.

The truth is that God does not spend your tithe; however, the church uses it to fund kingdom projects that glorify God. I give more than ten percent of all my increase to God as tithe, and that is one of the reasons He keeps blessing me financially. My dear child, do not listen to wrong doctrines; pay your tithe.Christian apparel

KEY POINT:

Obey the biblical doctrine of tithing and watch God prosper you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

Isaiah 51:1-53:12, Ephesians 5:1-33

HYMN 30 – When We Walk With The Lord

1 When we walk with the Lord

in the light of his word,

what a glory he sheds on our way!

While we do his good will,

he abides with us still,

and with all who will trust and obey.Christian apparel

Refrain:

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way

to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,

not a sorrow we share,

but our toil he doth richly repay;

not a grief or a loss,

not a frown or a cross,

but is blest if we trust and obey.

[Refrain]

3 But we never can prove

the delights of his love

until all on the altar we lay;

for the favor he shows,

for the joy he bestows,

are for them who will trust and obey.

[Refrain]

4 Then in fellowship sweet

we will sit at his feet,

or we’ll walk by his side in the way;

what he says we will do,

where he sends we will go;

never fear, only trust and obey.

[Refrain]
