Open Heaven for Teens 8 August 2025 – He Knows What’s Best for You
Memory Verse:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
Bible Reading — Isaiah 55:8-9
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Message
There was a time I nursed a personal ambition — to become the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa. My plan was carefully mapped and I was progressing after earning my Ph.D. Then God interrupted and revealed a different plan for my life. Letting go wasn’t easy, but when I surrendered I discovered there were no regrets.
Dear teen, God knows what is best for you. Our memory verse assures us that His plans are for peace and a hopeful future. You may not yet see the possibilities ahead or understand how each decision shapes your destiny, but God already knows the end from the beginning.
Get close to Him. Allow Him to order your steps. When you align your plans with God’s will, worry fades and hope grows — because He will guide you into the beautiful and glorious end He has prepared.
Key Point
God has arranged a beautiful and glorious destiny for you — follow Him wholeheartedly.

Hymn — Count Your Blessings
Verse 1
When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Chorus
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
Verse 2
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, ev’ry doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
Verse 3
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
Verse 4
So, amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
Call to Salvation
Knowing God’s plan is one thing — walking in it requires a relationship with Jesus. If you haven’t been born again, you cannot fully experience His guidance, peace, and promised future.
Prayer to receive Christ:
Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I confess that I am a sinner and I need Your mercy. I believe You died for me and rose again to give me eternal life. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. From today, I choose to follow You and Your perfect plan for my life. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer sincerely, welcome to God’s family! We encourage you to:
- Read the Bible daily — start with John and the memory verse above.
- Pray often — talk to God like a close friend.
- Join a Bible-believing church or youth fellowship where you can grow.
- If you’d like prayer or someone to talk to, contact your local church or the site administrators.
