💬 MESSAGE:

I understand that as a teenager, you are at puberty, and your body is going through some changes. One of them is the growth of hair under your arms and pubic area. I am particular about these areas because you will smell if you do not take good care of them. This might cause people to start avoiding you.

The Bible says that our body is the temple of the living God (1 Corinthians 6:19). Can a holy God live in a dirty temple? God gave Moses certain guidelines by which the children of Israel should live, and one of those key areas in the guidelines, as documented in the book of Leviticus, was about their hygiene.

My dear child, take your bath at least twice daily. Also, you should wash your underwear daily; never wear underwear twice. When brushing your teeth, scrub your tongue thoroughly because that organ hides dirt and smells. Wash your hair regularly, and also make sure that you wash your clothes, iron them, and arrange them. Don’t forget that cleanliness is next to godliness.

🔑 KEY POINT:

Your body is God’s temple. Always make sure it is clean.

📚 BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

2 Chronicles 24:1-25:28 Romans 12:1-21

🎼 HYMN: Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise

1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

3. To all life Thou givest, to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish, but nought changeth Thee.

4. Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render, O help Us to see:
‘Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee.

📝 SHORT COMMENTARY:

Personal hygiene is not just about appearance — it's a spiritual principle. God desires His temple, your body, to be clean both physically and spiritually. Embrace cleanliness as an act of reverence to God.

🙏 CALL TO SALVATION:

Dear teenager, beyond being clean outwardly, God wants your heart to be pure too. If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, now is the best time.

Say this prayer: “Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. Please forgive me all my sins. Wash me clean and come into my heart. I accept You today as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

If you said this prayer, welcome to God’s family! Please speak to a trusted Christian adult or youth pastor so they can guide you on what to do next.
